Unfortunatly, I had a pretty rough accident on Sunday 4.18.10. Fell from a 2nd story balcony, broke two of my teeth through my lower lip and split my jaw open on the pavement, requiring more stitches than a patchwork coat to put together. I also suffered a comminuted fracture to my talus, the main weight bearing bone in the foot/ankle. (comminuted means crushed or splintered into multiple pieces).

Doctors have told me that I may never be able to return to perfect normal again, and depending on the resiliancy of my body it will be between 8-12 weeks before I can start putting any weight on my right leg again.

All of this puts a real damper on my party pictures. I’ve considered the rascal scooters, considered wheelchairs, and decided against both. I’ve got many exciting side projects that I’ve had bottled up in the back of my head for years that I’m finally able to find the time to fully realize, and the opportunities those projects are presenting is tremendous.

In conclusion, by mid-may (ideally), I’ll be back with camera in hand and a giant bag of new tricks to bring the look of this site in a dramatic new direction. Before that, if you happen to see me out, hobbling around on crutches, buy me a drink – I need it.
